Washington Irving South Campground, operated by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, is located on the Arkansas arm of Keystone Lake. Local history has Washington Irving crossing the Arkansas River in this area during his expeditions west. There are 38 well-shaded campsites for both RV and tent camping, all of which have 30-amp electric hookups, as well as two non-electric sites. Facilities at Washington Irving South Campground include a one-mile nature trail, swimming area, restrooms and showers, boat ramps, dump station, playgrounds, pay phone, multi-use court and areas for fishing along the shoreline.
