Located in Duncan, the Stephens County Genealogy Library provides a wealth of genealogical resources. Duncan and Marlow newspapers from the 1890s-present are available on microfilm, and original newspapers from the 1990s-2000s are available as well. The library holds books detailing Stephens County surnames, a Stephens County history book, city directories and phone books, among numerous titles. Duncan funeral home records from the 1920s-1940s, some Stephens County cemetery records and the 1890 Oklahoma Territorial Census are also available. 

The Stephens County Genealogy Library offers computers with Internet access. Also, it offers a memory lab that has equipment that will allow you to convert older formats into a digital one or allow you to design and create photo books with your scanned in memories. The library provides database access, some that are provided through the Duncan Public Library and require a library card in order to access, as well as links to helpful genealogical resources that do not require a card or membership.

The Stephens County Genealogy Library is a branch of the Duncan Public Library.

Pricing

Research done on your behalf by the librarian is $8 per hour (assistance with individual research is always free).

Use of the Memory Lab is free, but patrons are asked to bring their own storage devices.

Printing costs are $.10 for b&w copies and $.75 for color on standard or legal-sized paper. Ledger sized paper is $.25 for b&w and $1.50 for color.
