Sooner Park Play Tower
Look up in wonder at the Sooner Park Play Tower in Bartlesville. Designed in 1963 by architect Bruce Goff, the play tower consists of a circular spiral steel stairway enclosed in steel fencing that leads to an observation and resting platform 50 feet off the ground. Race to the top for an amazing view of the park and the surrounding area.
The tower was erected in 1964. In the early 1990s, the tower was closed due to deterioration. However, in 2014 the City of Bartlesville commemorated the 50th year of the tower's anniversary by earmarking funds and collecting donations for the tower's restoration. The Sooner Park Play Tower was restored by the Service & Manufacturing Corporation and reopened to the public in fall 2014.
