Step back in time at the annual Oklahoma Steam & Gas Engine Show in Pawnee, Oklahoma! Held the first Thursday, Friday, and Saturday of May, this beloved event brings history to life with massive steam traction engines, antique tractors, working machinery, and hands-on demonstrations. For more than 60 years, visitors have experienced the sights, sounds, and excitement of America's agricultural and industrial heritage.

Watch powerful steam traction engines rumble across the prairie and witness history in motion as antique machinery comes to life. See the steam-powered sawmill transform logs into lumber, watch wheat threshing demonstrations, and experience the impressive power of the historic Corliss steam engine. Other fascinating exhibits include a working rock crusher, shingle mill, antique gas engines, and a variety of early agricultural equipment.

Explore the operating blacksmith shop and early twentieth-century machine shop, where skilled volunteers demonstrate traditional craftsmanship using historic tools and belt-driven machinery. Discover an incredible collection of antique tractors, stationary gas engines, and garden tractors dating from the early 1900s through the mid-twentieth century. Follow the irresistible aroma of freshly ground cornmeal at the antique gristmill and enjoy delicious offerings from food vendors throughout the grounds.

Browse the flea market, swap meet, arts and crafts booths, and vendors offering everything from antique tractor parts to unique treasures. Enjoy daily "Parades of Power" featuring beautifully restored tractors and steam engines, tractor pulls, children's pedal tractor activities, and a variety of demonstrations celebrating America's farming heritage. Special School Days on Thursday and Friday offer students an opportunity to experience living history firsthand.

The excitement continues after sunset with one of the show's most spectacular attractions, the Steam Engine Spark Show. Watch as powerful steam engines send glowing sparks high into the night sky, creating an unforgettable display of steam-powered history.
