Gaslight Theatre presents: Grease
Visit Rydell High School’s Class of 1959 with the “Burger Palace Boys” and the “Pink Ladies” in this rollicking musical at Enid’s Gaslight Theatre in June. In this play which encapsulates the 1950s greaser subculture, head “greaser” Danny Zuko and the shy new girl Sandy Dumbrowski relive their high school romance. All the while, the rest of the gang sings through memorable numbers such as “Greased Lightnin’” and “It’s Raining on Prom Night.”
The wide appeal of “Grease” has landed the classic musical on Broadway, the big screen and countless school and community productions over the decades. This cult classic was originally written by Jim Jacobs and Warren Casey.
This one-weekend-only event is also Revival Campaign Fundraiser to renovate the Gaslight Theatre auditorium.
